Earth's Surface is Mostly Water

About 71% of the Earth's surface is covered by water, making it a  blue planet  when viewed from space. The vast majority of this water around 96.5% is found in the oceans. The rest is stored in glaciers, ice caps, rivers, lakes, and underground aquifers. Water plays a crucial role in regulating the Earth’s temperature, supporting ecosystems, and shaping the land through erosion and weathering.
